Stream Share App

Users are frustrated with how expensive streaming services are today. I set out to create a solution that was cost effective, where users could connect their existing streaming service(s) to an app and easily swap and share within their network of friends.

Streaming services are now just as expensive as (or more so than) cable. Because there is so much great content on multiple streaming platforms, users feel obligated to pay for numerous services in order to watch it all.

I found the majority of users I interviewed
were extremely frustrated with how expensive streaming services have become.

My solution to the high cost of paying for multiple streaming services: sharing.

After user testing my initial prototype, I found that 94% of users were able to successfully request to join a friend’s streaming service. However, more than 50% completed the task indirectly. This led to a prototype redesign in an effort to help users complete the end goal via the most direct path.

The UI design was intended to be simple and have a social network feel to it. Users connect to friends and then send requests to access open streaming platforms.
